The Atlantic Antic is one of the most beloved event in Brooklyn since 1974!!!
Brooklyn’s oldest and largest street festival stretches 1.5 miles along Atlantic Avenue from 4th Avenue to Hicks Street, cutting through four neighborhoods: Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, and Downtown Brooklyn. Over 600 vendors and artists line the avenue with food, crafts, live music, and pure NYC culture. Over a million people attend each year.
The fair runs 10 blocks: from Brooklyn Heights to Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill.
…we’ve been living in Boerum Hill for over 10 years now and one of the things I love the most about Atlantic Antic is how it portrays the most diverse cultures, NYC shops and food.
The 50th anniversary is on October 5, 2025, and include a ’70s singing contest, a Soul Train–style dance floor with cash prizes, a groovy fashion show, belly dancing on the Middle Eastern Stage, circus performers, pony rides, and the incredible Playtopia kids zone.
Expect for the avenue to smell like Sahadi’s spices, grilled sausages, and Brooklyn summer all at once.
You can also walk around the neighborhood, enjoy all the beautiful brownstones and make sure to stop by at Cobble Hill Park and Verandha Place (my fav hidden gem!). You can also enjoy the sunset from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade or Brooklyn Bridge Park. Highly recommended!
Sottocasa is taking part of Atlantic Antic as it’s located at 298 Atlantic Avenue, at Smith Street… if you go, make sure to say hi to Luca and MariaRosa!
