Summer in New York City hits differently.
Grab a picnic blanket, bug spray, snacks, and your person (or your people!) and head out for a free outdoor movie night under the NYC skyline. If you’re craving that real New Yorker summer, this guide is for you!
I’ve lived in NYC almost 20 years, and these movie nights are still the best way to soak up the city’s energy for free. Bryant Park classics, a movie by the water in Brooklyn, the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. This is your full 2026 schedule – every series, every date, all tested by me.
For your convenience, I’ve listed them by days of the week, starting with Monday nights (because we Italians always start our week on Monday – LOL 🇮🇹).
Here’s where to catch the best free outdoor movies in NYC this summer. Let the summer magic begin!
